My highlights from the past year are the Eclipse, Longhorn Lights, Gone to Texas, University-wide Commencement and our amazing "Hook 'Em House" at SXSW. And a shoutout to UT Athletics — my colleagues over there know how to put on a show!

My favorite event of the year is the Longhorn Fiesta event put on by the Hispanic Faculty and Staff Association. This event has given me a chance to connect with our campus and feel proud of my own culture. It creates a positive and welcoming space for celebrating and learning.

Graduation ceremonies are always among my favorite University events. For me, sitting in a room with the graduating class, ready to embark upon a new world full of possibilities always empowers me to think big, and reminds me about "the why" behind my profession.

A few of the most memorable events that I've attended on campus include the 2024 Longhorn Run, and the grand opening of our new offices over at the East Campus Garage. These events stood out to me due to the unwavering community support and excitement that our department and campus felt overall.

Going to a graduation for a neighbor's daughter this May and seeing how our work here truly makes an impact for students and families. Also the Texas Relays for the past three years where I have watched my daughter compete in a world-class event that was run to perfection by Athletics.
